The authority and elegance of “Gaglioppo”, ancient and native grapes of Calabria, are harmoniously expressed in this aristocratic Cirò. Its character reminds the land’s power of origin, from which they say that Liber Pater, italic god of wine and vineyard, would have acquired the delicate fragrances used to intoxicate the parties in his honour.

Grapes variety: Gaglioppo (100%).

Alcohol: 13,5% by vol.

Production technique: a careful grapes selection is followed by a long maceration on the skins and then by a terse refinement in French oak barrels for 8 months.

Characteristics: ruby red in colour with light purple hues, complex aromas of wild berries, violets, spices and a soft note of oak provided by barrique ageing. It is a full-bodied, rich and velvety wine. Suggestions: delightful with beef, well seasoned main dishes and mature cheeses.

Ideal serving temperature: 18° C (65° F).
